Because It Works, Of Course!

Seriously, AGGRAND is a terrific product. It’s not “Superman in a Bottle”, but it really can do some amazing things for just about any crop you’re growing. Primarily, you’re going to get some very specific benefits from the AGGRAND product that you are not going to get from chemical fertilizers, and some that you will not get from other organic farm fertilizers either.

The fact of the matter is that chemical farm fertilizers strip the soil. That’s not a condemnation of those who use them, because most individuals who are using chemical fertilizers simply don’t realize this fact. It’s that they’ve always done. It’s what their father did. It’s worked generally well for quite a number of years, so it must be OK. The problem is, over time, you’re going to end up needing more and more and more fertilizer to achieve the same result, and, eventually, it won’t matter how much chemical fertilizer you apply to your farm crops – you will NOT get the yield you need to make a profit.

It’s a Sad Story … But a True One

I have had too many farmers contact me with the very same story to tell. For years their father used chemical fertilizers and received very good yields from their crops. Now, they are farming that same land and have done the same thing for quite a number of years. But, they are now finding that yields just don’t seem to be what they once were. And, even though they are applying even more non organic farm fertilizer than they ever have in the past, they still can’t get the yield they expect.

Worse yet, with the price of chemical fertilizer remaining high, the cost is nearly unbearable. Without a decent yield, there simply is no way to remain in the farming business. Either they have to do something different, or they are going to need a new occupation. It’s as simple as that.

Chemical Farm Fertilizer Strips the Soil

The reason for the falling yields is simple. Plants cannot grow with macro-nutrients alone (NPK). They need the supporting micro-nutrients and minerals that are necessary to support healthy growth and to perform the processes that actually make use of the nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium they are receiving from those chemical fertilizers. So, every time they receive an “injection” of macro-nutrients, they have to seek out those supporting micro-nutrients and minerals from the soil profile (because they are not present in those chemical fertilizers).

These supporting nutrients are drawn from the soil but are not replenished. Now, of course, if a farmer is applying any compost or manure or anything of that nature, obviously they are returning some of those nutrients to the soil. But, many farmers are NOT doing that. And, those that are, are not doing enough of it to support their chemical fertilizer use without continuing to strip the soil of these nutrients.

Of course, this process is not a quick one. In many areas of the world, chemical fertilizers have been used on fertile lands for decades and longer. Those soils were so fertile, they were able to support this type of fertilization for many years without a noticeable problem. But, eventually, we have to pay the piper, so to speak.

Eventually, those supporting nutrients are no longer present in the soil in sufficient quantities to support the processing of their macro-nutrient fertilizers by crop plants. At that point, yields begin to decline, plant health continues to devolve and profits quickly disappear.

Liquid vs Non-Liquid Is of Little Relevance

If you’re using petroleum based chemical fertilizers, whether you are using liquid farm fertilizers or granular fertilizers is irrelevant. Certainly, HOW you use them is different, and those methods will affect yield and such, but, the end result with regards to the soil is the same. Both products are water soluble. Both force feed the plant via an unnatural method of virtual “IV injection”, and neither are providing any supporting micro-nutrients or minerals to support healthy plant growth and soil maintenance.

Moreover, they both raise the salt content of the soil and lower the pH of the soil considerably, pushing out earthworms and micro-organisms at an alarming rate. Since it is those earthworms and micro-organisms that actually process the organic matter in the soil and convert it to usable nutrient for the plant, without them, organic matter in the soil is useless to the plant.

And, without micro-organisms to convert organic matter to humus, soils become compacted and anaerobic with little if any water holding capacity, making even slight water shortages a near catastrophe to many crops. And, of course, with little supporting nutrient in the soil, and nothing being supplied by the fertilizer, tissue sampling of chemically grown plants will show a stark contrast in nutritive value. This is important not only for human consumption, but also for animal consumption as higher caloric intake becomes essential to actually getting the nutrients we need to survive, much less thrive.

If you own a farm that is dealing with the above issues or that you suspect will be down the road as a result of chemical fertilizer use, a switch to more natural growing practices will require a change in thinking, but the end result will be a positive environmental impact and improved food quality for animals AND people accompanied by an INCREASE in your agricultural profits over time.

So, if I don’t find a way to make AGGRAND products work for you in a profitable way, then we both lose. It is my sincere hope that neither of us loses, but, instead we both profit handsomely for our efforts.
