Naturally Effective and Multi-Purpose

OMRI ListedAGGRAND Liquid “Organic Series” Fertilizer, just like our NON-certified liquid organic fertilizer is a multi-purpose liquid product that is ideal for all-around use on flowers, vegetables, fruits, lawns, shrubs, trees and field crops. AGGRAND is perfect for houseplants as well.

This cost-effective organic fertilizer provides a uniquely bio-available source of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium (N-P-K) in a 4-3-3 ratio coupled with powerful micro-nutrient, plant hormone and soil microbe support. The combination of these essential components promotes vigorous growth, increased root development and improved disease and stress tolerance.

Organic Fertilizer Protects the Environment

Natural ingredients are released more slowly so there is less chance of environmental impact. Soil microbes fix the nutrients needed for plant growth and release them slowly as plants need them. On the other hand petro chemical fertilizers are often high in soluble salts that are detrimental to soil microbes and plants alike: They decrease microbial activity and plant nutrient uptake. Although these fertilizers are high analysis N-P-K, the plant-use efficiency is very low.

For Use in Certified Organic Applications

AGGRAND Organic Series 4-3-3 Fertilizer (OSF) is a multipurpose liquid concentrate that promotes vigorous growth, increased root development and improved stress and disease tolerance in vegetables, fruits, nut trees and field crops. It is Listed by the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) for use in organic production. AGGRAND Fertilizer stimulates microbial activity in the soil and provides essential macronutrients nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) in a ratio of 4-3-3.

AGGRAND Fertilizer Organic Series 4-3-3 is intended as the alternative to AGGRAND Natural Fertilizer 4-3-3 (NOF) for growers who must use fertilizers certified to NOP standards.

Kelp from Icy North Atlantic Waters

When used as a fertilizer, kelp makes plants more robust and healthy by enhancing their heat, drought and cold tolerance. It also supplies N-P-K, sulfur (S), magnesium(Mg), calcium (Ca), iron (Fe), copper (Cu), zinc (Zn), manganese (Mn), boron (B),sodium (Na), carbohydrates and numerous amino acids.

Blended with Menhaden Fish Emulsion

Emulsified fish is extracted through low temperature processes from Menhaden fish which were used by Native Americans for centuries to grow their crops. Menhaden comes from the word “munna whaleaug” which means “that which manures.” Menhaden ocean fish feed on mineral rich plankton, which makes them full of essential nutrients. Caught in the coastal waters of Virginia and the Gulf of Mexico, Menhaden are not edible, but are commercially important for their high oil content. The fish are steamed slowly at 190° F, which preserves the amino acids, minerals and vitamins. The fish component in AGGRAND Natural Fertilizer supplies N-P-K and 10 micronutrients, as well as a number of vitamins and amino acids.

Fully Certified Organic

AGGRAND Fertilizer is OMRI Listed and ideal for use by organic growers certified to National Organic Program (NOP) standards. AGGRAND recommends NOP-certified growers verify approval of their inputs with their NOP-accredited certifying agent prior to use. AGGRAND Natural Kelp and Sulfate of Potash (NKP) also is part of the AGGRAND Organic Series and can deliver enhanced results when used with AGGRAND Fertilizer where appropriate.

Balanced Formula

AGGRAND Fertilizer features a balanced formulation with menhaden fish emulsion and kelp as the basis, and additional natural and organic ingredients for optimum results.

  • Fulvic acid derived from Leonardite shale is a natural material that enhances foliar applications and chelates minerals for greater availability to plants
  • Rock phosphate provides a natural source of phosphorus, calcium, manganese and iron. These elements maximize plant health and encourage plant structure and fruit development
  • Sulfate of potash an extremely fine-grade natural mineral derived from the Great Salt Lake, increases potassium levels
  • Wintergreen oil improves the scent of AGGRAND Fertilizer

Increased Microbial Activity is Crucial

AGGRAND Natural Fertilizer increases bacterial activity in soil, leading to stronger, healthier plants. Aerobic microorganisms such as bacteria, fungi and protozoa feed on carbon sources, causing a process known as mineralization. Mineralization produces plant-available nitrogen and phosphorus that helps plants grow and develop.

To determine the amount of bacterial activity in soil, the carbon dioxide (CO2) produced by microorganisms is measured. Higher levels indicate more bacterial activity, hence more potential nitrogen and phosphorus available to plants.

Although chemical-based fertilizers have high nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium levels, plant-use efficiency can be very low. In addition, they are often high in soluble salts that are toxic to soil bacteria and help create compaction and nitrification conditions, resulting in plant stress. Research shows soil treated with AGGRAND Natural Fertilizer demonstrates increased CO2 levels compared to a leading chemical fertilizer, meaning increased bacterial activity for healthier plants (see graph).

Applications and Rates

AGGRAND Natural Fertilizer 4-3-3 is recommended for, but not limited to, the following crops and applications, but is useful for virtually anything that’s “green & grows”.

• Apples
• Beans
• Bedding Plants
• Berries
• Cabbage
• Citrus Fruits
• Corn
• Cotton
• Cucumbers
• Deep-Root Plants
• Field Tomatoes
• Garlic
• Golf Courses
• Greenhouse Tomatoes
• Hay and Pasture Fields
• Herbs
• Lawns
• Potatoes
• Rice (Wetland)
• Wheat and Small
• Grains

Application rates vary according to plant/crop type, soil condition and weather conditions, but, in some cases, as little as 1 gallon of 4-3-3 per acre (about 45,000 square feet) can have a tremendous result.

AGGRAND 4-3-3 fertilizer is a liquid concentrate. For most foliar (to the leaf) applications, expect to mix about 3-4 ounces of fertilizer to 1 gallon of water (about 1 gallon fertilizer to 30-40 gallons of water). However, for foliar hay and turf applications, you can mix as little as 15 gallons of water per gallon of fertilizer (although, ideally, more water would be better for best coverage).

For broadcast application to the soil, a 3% solution is fine, although less water would be OK if you’re not applying directly to new seed (in which case I’d stick to a 3% solution). Generally, anywhere from 3 ounces of fertilizer per 1/2 – 1 gallon of water (1 gallon fertilizer to 20-40 gallons of water) is fine for soil applications that are not being sprayed directly on new seed.

NOTE: AGGRAND corporate literature sometimes recommends considerably more water for best coverage, however, for most farmers, that amount of water is not feasible with the size of their spray tanks – it would require too many trips to refill the tank to cover much acreage. So, if you can use more water, that is best, but if it’s not really feasible or efficient for you to do so, the recommendations above will work fine and are a bit more reasonable.

Consult the AGGRAND Crop Guide (G2793) for additional application information which applies equally to our Certified AND Non-Certified 4-3-3 Organic Fertilizers.
